It is no longer news that Militancy, the once dreaded trend in the Niger-Delta Region is gradually fading away, almost all the self-styled freedom fighters have laid down their Arms in accordance with Mr.Presidents plea for dialogue and His Subsequent granting of Amnesty to the repentant Militants. The Amnesty excercise was successful, though there were some lapses here and there.By and large, the Movie was well scripted, directed and it came out brilliant. Though some scenes made me marvel, for instance Scene 3(Arms Surrender),where did all the weapons come from? How did they come in possession of them? How did the weapons get into this Country? I bet the number of weapons in the Armoury of the Nigeria Police is not in any way near the numbers the Militants Surrendered(I Stand to be Corrected). In terms of Sophistication, the Police also came a Distant Second.
The Best Part of the movie is begging to be Premiered..the scene where the Blueprint for the Development of the entire Niger-Delta Region, the Post Amnesty challenges, the journey to sustainable peace in the Region,.As in times past, the Politicians are having a filled dayorganising seminar after seminar, summit(s),talk!talk!!talk!!!. did i hear you say another avenue to squander tax payers money?another well scripted deceit of the Niger-delta People.
Save the Talk, start the Action.Enough of the talking. What the People of the Niger-Delta want to hear is DEVELOPMENT.They want to see it happen not just talk! Talk!! Talk!!!.THe Niger_Delta Master Plan drawn by the NDDC is begging to be implemented. In the words of late Reggae Icon Bob Marley,''You can fool the people some times, but you cant fool all the people all the time..''
The Niger-Deltans are waiting. Hope they dont wait in Vain...I rest my case!
