what can be done about the ATM robbery

ATM--form of banking was applauded when it was introduced to the Nigerian banking industry few years back,but now its as turn in to a crazy menace,with account holders cash being withdrawl by annonymous persons,many have different stories to tell,last week i listen to a story of someone who claimed to have lost 500k in two days to atm robbery,thou i am not a victim,but ever since my atm card expired 2 years ago i have not requested for another,its a long awaited time bomb cos the way and manner banks issue atm cards this days it is questionable,with atm being sold for as little as #200,and even being given out for free on the streets one should not expect less,and the way they are stored in some banks any one can have access to this card even b4 the real owners do and this cars often come with default pins,which are often pasted with a glue paper on it,i think we nigerians should request for more security measures from the banks, to prevent this menace that is now deraining the purse of innocent,coming soon' micro finance long would they stay.
